Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Cylo!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scores with a takedown into Cylo's guard.
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cylo is proving hard to escape from.
Cylo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smith is aware though and is defending well.
Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Cylo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cylo is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nice jab there from Cylo.
Cylo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
David Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith dives in and grabs Cylo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cylo pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Cylo thuds his right hand into Smith's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cylo throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Cylo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cylo to the mat! Cylo manages to get full guard.
Cylo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cylo is trying to control the position but Smith postures up.
Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cylo is keeping the position for now.
Cylo keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Cylo looking for a sweep. Not yet Cylo, not yet.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Cylo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up because David Smith just wasn't active enough.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cylo lands an overhand right.
Cylo throws a hook but Smith avoids it easily.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Cylo sprawls well.
Cylo blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cylo.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Cylo lands a jab.
Smith has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cylo finds it's way round the side to connect with Smith's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cylo.
Smith shoots in and bounces Cylo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cylo trying to control the position.
Cylo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Smith stands up from Cylo's guard - Smith perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cylo lands with a cross.
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cylo swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith throws a head kick but Cylo moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cylo throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cylo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cylo avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Cylo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cylo lands a jab to the nose.
A telegraphed right hand from Cylo misses the target.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that David Smith will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Smith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cylo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Cylo misses with a hook
and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Cylo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Smith as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Cylo screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Smith! Nice submission victory there!
