Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason has chosen Final Countdown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Mason! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hall is trying to defend but Mason finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mason wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy. Hall tries to get to full guard but Mason has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hall wants to improve his position but Mason is controlling well.
Mason has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hall is refusing to be controlled, as Mason sits in half guard. Mason is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hall sees it coming and defends easily. Hall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hall tries to get out of the position. Mason wants to work for an arm triangle but Hall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hall wants to improve his position but Mason is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall wants to control but Mason is keeping busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mason connects with a nice short shot to Hall's temple. Hall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hall is working hard here to advance position. Hall blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mason.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mason trying to control from half guard but Hall is working away. Hall is looking for a sweep. Mason is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mason throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hall is trying to get back to full guard. Hall tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mason has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Mason prevents Hall from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Mason there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mason with the ground and pound from mount. Mason lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Hall is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mason is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hall has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hall! Hall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mason keeping full guard, as Hall tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hall slips nicely into half guard. Hall working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mason's thigh. Mason counters though and makes it back to full guard. Hall drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mason manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hall has Mason in his guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mason advances to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Mason dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hall tries to clinch but Mason is having none of it. Mason darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mason not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Mason missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hall won't allow Mason to pass to mount. Hall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mason's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mason's back! Hall tightening his grip on Mason, looking for the choke. Michael Mason has got the better of the ground game so far. Mason breaks Hall's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mason is now in half guard. Hall works his way to full guard. Good work. Mason pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hall is keeping the position for now. Hall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mason's guard. Hall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mason on the ground. Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Mason is retaining full guard. Mason is looking for a triangle but Hall pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mason knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Mason is staying active underneath Hall, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hall is pressing down on Mason's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mason is holding on for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hall is looking to stall here but Mason recovers full guard. Hall looking to sit in guard and control but Mason gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason looking to improve position, pressing down on Hall's thigh with his hand. Hall seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Mason paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Mason's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Hall picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
