Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Average Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim misses with a wild body shot.
Kim ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Joe lunges at Kim with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kim's hand.
Joe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kim.
Kim shoots for a takedown but Joe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kim shoots and misses
enabling Joe to counter with a crisp jab.
Joe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kim.
A swing and a miss from Kim.
Kim lands with an overhand left.
Joe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kim darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by Kim.
Kim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joe was well out of range. Poor timing from Kim.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim shoots in but no luck this time.
Average Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Kim.
A big right from Joe misses.
Joe ducks under a wild hook from Kim.
Joe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively.
Kim looks to land a right hand but Joe moved out of range.
Joe lands a really nice looking cross but Kim seems unphased.

Kim throws a jab when Joe was well out of range.
Kim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Joe loads up on a big right hand but Kim slips the punch.

Joe misses with a hook. Kim ducked under it nicely.
Joe misses with an uppercut. Kim saw that one coming.
Joe connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kim closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Joe's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kim sitting in guard here, content to control.
Joe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kim wants to pass the guard but Joe is keeping the position.
Kim stopping the sweep attempt from Joe.
Kim lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Kim controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Joe has his hands on Kim's head, controlling the position.
Joe is trying to control the position but Kim postures up.
Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kim advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on Joe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Joe is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kim has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Joe tries to buck Kim off but Kim is having none of it.

Kim thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kim has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Joe is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kim yanks on the arm and Joe is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kim.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roberto Kim!
Our winner, Roberto Kim, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
