Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angel Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tzvetvan Todorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tzvetvan Todorov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angel Colon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tzvetvan Todorov! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Todorov fails with a takedown attempt. Todorov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Colon misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Colon misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todorov closes the distance and clinches up with Colon, looking for a takedown. Todorov pushes Colon against the cage but Colon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Angel Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tzvetvan Todorov. Todorov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Colon throws a series of punches but Todorov avoids them all with ease. Colon throws a right hand that Todorov ducks under and follows up with a left that Todorov also avoids with ease. Colon cracks Todorov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Todorov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Colon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon misses with a hook. Todorov ducked under it nicely. Colon tries to bum rush Todorov with a series of wild strikes but Todorov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A shot to the liver by Colon. Beautiful body shot. Colon throws a right and a left that both miss. Colon jabbing away but nothing is landing. Colon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Todorov.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colon lands an overhand right. Todorov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Horrible takedown by Todorov or perhaps it was just good defense by Colon which made him look bad. Colon thows a left - swing and a miss! Todorov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Colon misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon gets caught flat footed, as Todorov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colon wants to stand but Todorov is controlling the position. Todorov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Colon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Todorov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Todorov with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todorov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Todorov with a flurry of punches that miss. Todorov throws a big right hand that misses. Todorov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Angel Colon will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Todorov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Colon swivels and escapes. Colon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Angel Colon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Colon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Todorov was well out of range. Poor timing from Colon. Todorov tries to clinch but fails miserably and Colon counters with a lovely shot to the body. Colon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Todorov. Todorov misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colon misses with a looping right. Todorov avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Todorov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Todorov lands in his opponent's guard. Todorov throws a big elbow that misses. Colon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Todorov chips away with some ground and pound. Todorov stops Colon from standing up. Todorov wants to control from the top but Colon keeps moving. Colon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Todorov postures up in Colon's guard and throws a big left but Colon blocks it. Colon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Todorov prevents Colon from getting back to his feet. Colon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Todorov. Colon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Todorov is controlling him. Todorov cracks Colon with a solid left hand. Todorov is looking to work some ground and pound but Colon has wrist control. Todorov throwing strikes from guard but Colon blocks nicely. Todorov throws an elbow that misses. Colon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Todorov's guard. Nice move by Colon! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Colon wanted to stand there but Todorov had control of the position. Todorov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Todorov is trying to keep Colon in close.
Colon wants to get up but he can't break Todorov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Todorov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Colon is one step ahead there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Todorov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Colon pinned against the cage. Colon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon thows a left - swing and a miss! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tzvetvan Todorov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Todorov is defended easily by Colon. Nice sprawl there from Colon as Todorov shoots in. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Todorov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Colon defends it nicely. Todorov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Colon sprawls well initially but Todorov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Todorov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Colon wants to get back to his feet.
Colon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Colon tries to get out of the position. Colon trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Todorov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Colon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Colon is looking to escape. Todorov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Colon's head. Todorov throwing shots but Colon is blocking nicely. Todorov trying to control from Colon's half guard. Colon has other ideas though and has regained full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Todorov throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Todorov connects with a couple of short punches. Todorov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Todorov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todorov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Todorov prevents Colon from getting back to his feet. Todorov trying to control but Colon is working from the bottom. Todorov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Colon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Colon wants to stand up but Todorov is controlling him. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Colon has his feet on Todorov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Todorov has a takedown stuffed. Colon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Colon wants it to stay on the feet. Todorov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Tzvetvan Todorov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Todorov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
