Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Mann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Kirkland!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann walks into a jab.
Kirkland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kirkland checks a leg kick nicely.
Mann thows a body shot but no joy.
Kirkland is looking to clinch.
Mann throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kirkland misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mann.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mann fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kirkland.
Kirkland swinging wildly here.
Kirkland jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A good leg kick by Mann.
Mann looks to throw the jab but Kirkland is out of range.
Mann dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kirkland. That did some damage!
Kirkland misses with a series of wild punches.
Kirkland lands a head shot.
Mann throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kirkland misses with an uppercut.
Kirkland works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mann connects with an inside leg kick.
Kirkland loads up on a big right hand but Mann slips the punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mann drops Kirkland with a beautiful combination! Kirkland stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mann is looking for the KO!


It looks like Josh Kirkland has been cut.
Kirkland looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mann.
Mann connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Mann sends Kirkland crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mann is motioning to the referee to let Kirkland up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Kirkland is rocked!
Mann moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kirkland is still on wobbly legs! Can Mann finish him?
Mark Mann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kirkland doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mann scores with a hook to the body. Kirkland takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mann connects with a solid leg kick.
Mann throws an uppercut from hell that sends Kirkland clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mann stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mark Mann!
A relieved looking Mark Mann thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
