Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Finch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rafael Misiek! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Misiek fails in his attempt to clinch. Finch works the jab nicely. Misiek doesn't manage to clinch there - Finch circles away.
Misiek moves to clinch but Finch breaks away so Finch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Finch won't allow Misiek to get back to his feet. Finch connects with a couple of short punches. Misiek wants to sweep but no luck. Misiek is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Finch tries to free his leg and advance position but Misiek is retaining full guard. Finch showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Misiek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Finch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

We're going to have a standup here because Jon Finch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Misiek avoids the body shot from Finch.
Misiek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Finch paws at him with a jab and circles away. Finch throws the left hand but Misiek avoids the punch easily. Misiek steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Finch. Misiek fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Finch. Misiek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Finch paws at him with a jab and circles away. Misiek lunges at Finch with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Finch's hand. Misiek throws a right hand that Finch ducks under and follows up with a left that Finch also avoids with ease. Misiek wants to clinch. Finch keeps the fight on the outside. Finch misses with a hook. Misiek ducked under it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Misiek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Finch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Misiek looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Finch lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Finch trying to control the position from guard on top but Misiek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Misiek is keeping the position for now. Finch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Misiek wants to stand but Finch is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch is in close to Misiek's body, working some short punches and elbows. Finch sitting in guard, not really doing much. Finch with a flurry of punches that miss. Misiek is trying to control the position but Finch postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Finch tries to clinch but Misiek moves out of range. Finch has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Misiek finds it's way round the side to connect with Finch's head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Misiek closes the distance and clinches. Misiek is looking to control Finch's arms but Finch gets an underhook and turns him. Now Misiek has his back to the cage. Misiek avoids a wild elbow strike from Finch. Finch takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finch dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Finch as Misiek tries to tie him up. Finch tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Misiek tries to land knees in the clinch but Finch avoids the damage to the body. Misiek lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Jon Finch has been cut. Finch leaning against his opponent.
Misiek stalling in the clinch but Finch improves position. Finch managing to block the knees to the body from Misiek.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Finch turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Finch cracks Misiek with an elbow. That is naaassty. Misiek is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Finch off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Finch dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jon Finch's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Misiek dips to his left and cracks Finch with an uppercut! Misiek is looking to clinch but Finch is avoiding it.
Misiek fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Finch to the ground. Misiek is now in Finch's guard. Misiek in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Finch wants to stand and escape but Misiek is having none of it. Finch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Finch tries to get out of the position. Finch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Finch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Misiek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Misiek trying to control the position from guard on top but Finch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Misiek with a flurry of punches that miss. Misiek working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jon Finch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Misiek missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Misiek wants to control from the top but Finch keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Finch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Misiek is looking to work some ground and pound but Finch has wrist control. Finch looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Misiek must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Finch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Finch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Finch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Misiek is one step ahead there. Misiek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Finch works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Finch wants to sweep here but Misiek controlling him for the moment. Misiek chips away with some ground and pound. Misiek gets to his feet - Finch follows without any prompting. Finch circles away from the clinch attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Misiek looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Finch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finch showed some decent athleticism there. This has been an exciting period of action! Finch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Misiek's head. Misiek manages to get to full guard.

Misiek defending well though. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Finch connects with a nice short shot to Misiek's temple. Finch is controlling the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Misiek is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Finch scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A slapping body kick lands there for Misiek. The fight stays on the outside here - Misiek looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Misiek tries to clinch but Finch is having none of it. "I don't think so" says Finch as he avoids it easily. Rafael Misiek seems to be getting the better of the standup. Misiek moves in looking to clinch but Finch pushes him off. Misiek moves out of range as Finch strikes. Finch manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Misiek on his heels. He'll look to pass Misiek's guard now, I'm sure. Finch lands a nice short elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Misiek is not content to let Finch control the position. Jon Finch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Misiek. Misiek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Finch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Misiek was well out of range. Poor timing from Finch. Misiek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Misiek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Finch manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Misiek lands a damaging elbow. Misiek is trying to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Finch showed his dominance in that final round. I think Finch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
