Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Bobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobi Takata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobby shoots for a double leg takedown but Takata sprawls well. He's pushed Bobby's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Takata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Bobby lands a head kick. Takata smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Takata gets caught flat footed, as Bobby shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Takata keeping moving, preventing Bobby from controlling successfully. Bobby will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bobby throwing strikes but missing. Bobby would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bobby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Takata is trying to keep Bobby in close.
Bobby is in close to Takata's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobby gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bobby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Takata is looking to escape. Takata on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bobby performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bobby wants to take a breather but Takata is having none of it. Bobby landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takata is staying active underneath Bobby, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Takata tries to get to full guard but Bobby has control of the leg. Bobby is keen to just control but Takata is a slippery customer. Bobby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Takata with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bobby has closed the distance and engaged Takata in a clinch.
Takata wants a takedown.
Bobby drags the fight down to the ground.
Takata loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bobby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takata is one step ahead there. Takata would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobby is pulling down on Takata's head to control his posture. Takata stops Bobby from standing up. Bobby trying to control the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takata's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Bobby controls Takata momentarily but Takata frees himself. Bobby preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Takata wants to get up but he can't break Bobby's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bobby tries to land a sweep but no joy. Takata trying to control the position from guard on top but Bobby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Takata throws a leg kick but Bobby checks it. Takata stuffs the takedown attempt from Bobby. Bobby gets slowly back to his feet. Tobi Takata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takata shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bobby's guard. Bobby keeping moving, preventing Takata from controlling successfully. Bobby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Takata's guard. Bobby makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bobby sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bobby trying to control the action but Takata is working from the bottom. Bobby content to control rather than advance. Takata is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobby trying to mount his opponent but Takata defends it. Bobby decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Ricky Bobby is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Takata scores a takedown into full mount! Bobby is in all sorts of trouble here.
Takata misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Bobby is desperately trying to improve his position but Takata has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takata looking to finish Bobby with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bobby! Bobby tries to hold on but Takata pushes him away. Takata prevents Bobby from getting the reversal. Takata avoids the attempt from Bobby to control. Bobby keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bobby wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Takata.
Bobby suckers Takata into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Bobby is now in Takata's guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobby passes easily into side control. Nice work. Takata sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Bobby sitting and controlling from the half guard. Takata wants to control but Bobby is keeping busy and won't allow it. Takata wants to improve his position but Bobby is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bobby is tying to control. Takata wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ricky Bobby just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Takata stuffs the takedown. Takata shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bobby is wriggling around trying to escape.

Bobby closes the distance and clinches. Takata wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bobby looking for a takedown. Bobby wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Takata has him pressed against the cage. Bobby jumps guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Takata gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Bobby's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Takata cracks Bobby with a big elbow. Bobby is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Takata has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Takata wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bobby keeps working. Takata working away. Bobby tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Takata wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Bobby's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bobby scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bobby performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Takata tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Takata swats away the attempt to clinch by Bobby.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobby scores a takedown into full mount! Takata is squirming around, avoiding Bobby's attempts to control the action. Takata is desperately trying to improve his position but Bobby has a good base and remains in mount. Bobby trying to control but Takata is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takata keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Bobby showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bobby has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
