The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sliper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sliper has gone for a leg lock! Kula slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sliper's guard.

Kula drops back looking for a leg! Sliper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sliper manages to kick Kula off! Kula jumps back into Sliper's guard.

Kula drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kula jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kula passes Sliper's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kula is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kula is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kula is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sliper defends it well.
Kula is pressing down on Sliper's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sliper is holding on for now.
Sliper slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kula stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sliper swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kula is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sliper is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kula throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sliper's body to avoid the submission. Sliper has instead reached around Kula's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sliper arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
