Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorangel Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erik Hansen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas lands a glancing blow to the side of Hansen's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vargas waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hansen.
Vargas scores with a jab. Hansen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hansen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vargas.
Hansen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vargas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vargas slaps away a takedown attempt from Hansen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vargas misses the jab.
Vargas throws a hook but Hansen blocks it.
Hansen ducks under a wild hook from Vargas.
Hansen misses with a takedown attempt - Vargas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hansen shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hansen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vargas circles away quickly and effectively.

Vargas misses with a straight left.
Vargas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hansen.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vargas sprawls well. Vargas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hansen gets slowly back to his feet.
Vargas misses with an uppercut.
Hansen moves to clinch but Vargas breaks away
and Hansen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vargas looks to land a left hand but Hansen moved out of range nicely.
Vargas throws a looping overhand right but Hansen ducks down to avoid it.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Vargas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vargas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hansen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hansen showed some decent athleticism there.
Hansen is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hansen prevents Vargas from improving his position.
Vargas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hansen wants to control but Vargas is keeping him busy.
Vargas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hansen is working away from the top position though.
Vargas wants to get back to full guard.
Vargas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hansen.
Vargas trying to hold on to Hansen's head to control him but Hansen postures up.
Vargas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vargas wants to control but Hansen is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Vargas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hansen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vargas.
Vargas misses the jab.
Vargas cracks Hansen with a good jab.
Vargas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hansen slips under a jab from Vargas.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Vargas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hansen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Vargas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Vargas steps in with a hook that catches Hansen right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Vargas follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Hansen looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dorangel Vargas!
