Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey De Andreas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico comes to the cage accompanied by The Fight Song. De Andreas has chosen Free Bird by Leonard Skynard as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Andreas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rico is fending him off so far but De Andreas persists. Nope, Rico circles away and we're back to standing.
Rico cracks a nice hook into De Andreas's ribs.
De Andreas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rico scores with a jab to the body.
De Andreas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rico moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
De Andreas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rico shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rico showed some decent athleticism there.
Rico takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

De Andreas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rico counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rico.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
De Andreas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
De Andreas looks gassed!

and Rico counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

De Andreas looks to land a combination but Rico avoids it well.
Rico fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. De Andreas sprawls well initially but Rico persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nice strikes from Rico there.
Rico is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
De Andreas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rico decides to stand up.
De Andreas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
De Andreas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rico backs up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
De Andreas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rico counters with a shoot takedown. De Andreas fights it but they end up in guard.

Rico won't allow De Andreas to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Andreas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rico doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rico manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rico's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

De Andreas has his feet on Rico's thighs here. He's pushed Rico off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rico screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
