Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Taylor ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Hinkley! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws a solid leg kick but Hinkley takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Taylor . Hinkley throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease. Taylor feints and as Hinkley raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Hinkley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hinkley wants to stand but Taylor is controlling the position. Taylor sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hinkley keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully.
We're going to have a standup here because David Taylor wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hinkley tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Taylor moves into the clinch. Hinkley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hinkley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taylor showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hinkley won't allow Taylor to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Taylor controlling the pace. Taylor trying to control from half guard but Hinkley is working away. Taylor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hinkley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hinkley keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully. Taylor content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hinkley is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Taylor is working for takedown but Hinkley is calmly controlling the position for now. Taylor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hinkley's efforts to push away. Taylor wants the takedown. Hinkley is fighting it off but Taylor persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hinkley's guard against the cage. Taylor passes Hinkley's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Taylor in particular looking to stall. Taylor landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hinkley looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Taylor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hinkley keeps working. Taylor is nestled in close to Hinkley, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nice strikes from Taylor there. Taylor seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hinkley can do anything to dispel that myth. Taylor content to control rather than advance. Taylor drops an elbow to the side of Hinkley's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor wants to take a breather but Hinkley is having none of it. Taylor slips a nice elbow through Hinkley's hands, connecting with Hinkley's forehead. Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hinkley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Taylor looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Taylor . Hinkley misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taylor moves into the clinch. Hinkley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Taylor goes for a takedown attempt but Hinkley pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hinkley throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hinkley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Taylor works a leg free and moves into half guard. Taylor working Hinkley over with strikes. Taylor is keen to just control but Hinkley is a slippery customer. Hinkley has hold of Taylor 's hands but Taylor slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hinkley keeps working. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hinkley is trying to stand up here but Taylor is controlling him well. Taylor moves nicely into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Hinkley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hinkley is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Taylor asserts his dominance and retains side control. Hinkley tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hinkley is looking to escape. Taylor controlling from the full mount. Taylor looking to control but Hinkley is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Taylor landing strikes from the mount. Taylor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hinkley can do to turn this around? Taylor lands a big shot there that rocks Hinkley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
It looks like Adam Hinkley has been cut. Hinkley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Taylor controlling from the full mount. Hinkley taking shots to the head.
