Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zanderson Zilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milan Diprivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milan Diprivan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zanderson Zilva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milan Diprivan! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zilva dives in and scores a takedown into Diprivan's guard. Zilva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Zilva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Zilva throws a strike but Diprivan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Diprivan wants to pass the guard but Zilva is keeping the position. Zilva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Zilva working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Diprivan. Diprivan wanted to stand there but Zilva had control of the position. Diprivan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zilva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diprivan has Zilva in his guard. Zilva has gone for a leg lock! Diprivan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zilva's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zilva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Diprivan lands a couple of elbows. Zilva has his foot on Diprivan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diprivan works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Diprivan trying to control but Zilva is working from the bottom. Diprivan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zilva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zilva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zilva! Diprivan is trying to improve his position. Zilva is chipping away with strikes.
Diprivan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zilva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Zilva is trying to get an arm triangle but Diprivan is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zilva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Zilva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Diprivan to the ground. Zilva is now in Diprivan's guard. Diprivan being controlled here, momentarily. Diprivan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Zilva wants to pass the guard but Diprivan is keeping the position. Diprivan looking for a sweep. Not yet Diprivan, not yet. Zilva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Zilva passes Diprivan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. It looks like Zilva is going to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zilva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diprivan has managed to free his arm - good work. Diprivan is staying active underneath Zilva, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Zilva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zilva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diprivan is looking to escape. Zilva connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Zilva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Diprivan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zilva defends it nicely. Zilva avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Diprivan tries a head kick but it misses.
Zilva cracks Diprivan with a right hand to the side of the head. Diprivan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Zanderson Zilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zilva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Diprivan. Zilva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diprivan is fending him off so far but Zilva persists. Nope, Diprivan circles away and we're back to standing. Zilva scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Zilva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Zilva tries to clinch there but Diprivan circles away.
Diprivan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Zilva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Zilva fails with a takedown attempt. Diprivan avoids the head kick by Zilva.
Zilva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zanderson Zilva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zilva misses with a head kick.
Zilva thows a left - swing and a miss! Diprivan throws a sloppy head kick and Zilva moves out of range easily. Diprivan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Zilva leaves Diprivan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Zanderson Zilva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milan Diprivan. Diprivan slips a straight right by Zilva. A nice leg kick lands there from Zilva.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diprivan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Zilva lands a head kick. Diprivan smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Zilva avoids the head kick by Diprivan.
Zilva connects with a body shot. Zilva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Good shot there by Zilva. Diprivan scores with a slapping inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Zilva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diprivan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diprivan is defended easily by Zilva. The fight stays on the outside here - Zilva looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zilva lands an overhand right.

Diprivan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zilva to score an easy takedown into full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zilva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Diprivan, up you get! Diprivan misses the shot to the body. Zilva wants to clinch. Zilva takes a swing at Diprivan's ribcage but misses. Diprivan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Zilva looks to land a combination but Diprivan avoids it well. Diprivan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Zilva misses with a looping left. Zilva takes the fight into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zilva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Diprivan regains guard.

Zanderson Zilva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Diprivan tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diprivan is pulling down on Zilva's head to control his posture. Zilva wants to control from the top but Diprivan keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oh Zilva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diprivan avoids the head kick by Zilva.
Zilva tries for a takedown but Diprivan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Zilva seems to have got his legs back now. Diprivan lands a big head kick that sends Zilva tumbling to the mat! Diprivan takes a step backwards and waves Zilva back to his feet - he wants the finish! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diprivan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Donk. Zilva catches Diprivan right on the button with a cross. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diprivan slips a jab and a cross from Zilva.
Diprivan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zilva counters with a three punch combo that has Diprivan backing up. Diprivan nods at Zilva to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diprivan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zilva moves out of range of the body kick. Zilva misses with a two punch combination.
Zilva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Diprivan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Zilva trying to control but Diprivan is working from the bottom. Diprivan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Zilva's corner is telling him to maintain position. Zilva wants to control from the top but Diprivan keeps moving. Diprivan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zilva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zilva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diprivan is just riding it out for now. Zilva eventually gives up the hold. Zanderson Zilva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Diprivan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Milan Diprivan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Zilva is keen to just control but Diprivan is a slippery customer. Zilva sitting and controlling from the half guard. Zilva working Diprivan over with strikes. Zilva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zilva is taking a breather. Diprivan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Diprivan is trying to get back to full guard. Diprivan won't allow Zilva to pass to mount. Zilva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diprivan is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zilva controlling the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Milan Diprivan. I think Zilva has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
