Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vammie Weruke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Sahebt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weruke comes to the cage accompanied by Waking the Demon - Bullet For My Valentine. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vammie Weruke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Sahebt!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sahebt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sahebt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sahebt trying to control the position from guard on top but Weruke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sahebt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weruke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Weruke keeping moving, preventing Sahebt from controlling successfully.
Sahebt tries to free his leg and advance position but Weruke is retaining full guard.

Sahebt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Weruke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sahebt has Weruke in his guard.
Sahebt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Weruke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sahebt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sahebt looking to control.

Sahebt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sahebt keeping moving, preventing Weruke from controlling successfully.
Weruke is looking to work some ground and pound but Sahebt has wrist control.
Weruke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Weruke throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Weruke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sahebt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sahebt wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sahebt punching from the bottom - just letting Weruke know he's still in a fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sahebt wriggles free and stands up.

Sahebt drives through with a takedown into Weruke's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Weruke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sahebt with a flurry of punches that miss.

Sahebt drops back looking for a leg! Weruke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Weruke manages to kick Sahebt off! Sahebt jumps back into Weruke's guard.

Sahebt decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Weruke, up you get!
Sahebt blocks a jab.
Weruke just misses with a punch to the body.

Sahebt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sahebt lands in his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sahebt looking to pass the guard.

Sahebt has gone for a leg lock! Weruke slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sahebt's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sahebt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Weruke trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Sahebt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weruke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sahebt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Weruke!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sahebt working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sahebt looking to control but Weruke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sahebt with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sahebt throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Sahebt dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sahebt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Sahebt drives through with a takedown into Weruke's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Weruke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sahebt on the ground.

Sahebt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Weruke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sahebt has Weruke in his guard.
Weruke postures up in Sahebt's guard and throws a big left but Sahebt blocks it.
Weruke looking to sit in guard and control but Sahebt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sahebt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weruke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sahebt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Weruke is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sahebt, into his guard.
Sahebt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sahebt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Weruke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Weruke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Weruke throwing strikes but missing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Weruke is posturing up here but Sahebt has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Weruke tries to roll out but it's too tight and Weruke has to tap! Slick submission there by Sahebt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Johnny Sahebt!
Johnny Sahebt bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
