Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mac Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mac Hansen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen misses with a series of wild punches.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Jacobs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hansen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A nice leg kick lands there from Jacobs. Jacobs throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hansen. Hansen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jacobs scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hansen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jacobs.

Hansen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jacobs's head backwards. Hansen throws a combination that misses and Jacobs counters with a one-two to the body. Jacobs throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hansen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jacobs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jacobs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hansen keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jacobs's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jacobs working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hansen keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs is looking to work some ground and pound but Hansen has wrist control. Jacobs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hansen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hansen keeping full guard, as Jacobs tries to pass. Jacobs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Christian Jacobs hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hansen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen throws a half hearted mid kick. A combination from Hansen does no damage. That kick from Jacobs tenderised Hansen's leg. Hansen is trying to keep his angry face on. Hansen throws a hook but Jacobs blocks it. Jacobs waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hansen. Jacobs pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hansen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jacobs.
Jacobs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jacobs looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jacobs tries to free his leg and advance position but Hansen is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Jacobs dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jacobs dives in and grabs Hansen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes down on Jacobs's head and hops out. Jacobs takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jacobs misses with a series of wild punches.
Hansen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice sprawl there from Jacobs as Hansen shoots in. Jacobs thows a body kick. Hansen tries to catch it but that hurt him. Jacobs looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jacobs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jacobs has a takedown stuffed. Jacobs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Jacobs tries to bum rush Hansen with a series of wild strikes but Hansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hansen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jacobs to score with a decent uppercut. Hansen misses with a combination
and Jacobs counters with a good, hard body kick but Hansen shrugs it off. Hansen fails to land with a series of punches.
Mac Hansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jacobs fails with the takedown and Hansen counters with a series of strikes. Jacobs will be more careful next time no doubt. Mac Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Jacobs. Hansen throws a body punch but Jacobs moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Jacobs. Hansen does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen scores with a sloppy right hand. Jacobs should have avoided that one. A combination from Hansen does no damage. Jacobs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Christian Jacobs seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hansen throws a sloppy head kick and Jacobs moves out of range easily. Jacobs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hansen swivels and escapes. Hansen misses with a two punch combination.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jacobs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hansen ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hansen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jacobs missing with a left hand there. Hansen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hansen misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs misses with a wild body shot. Jacobs blocks a head kick by Hansen.

and Hansen counters with a one-two to the body. Hansen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hansen scoring well with a low kick there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacobs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jacobs there as he acknowledges the shot. Jacobs swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hansen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jacobs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hansen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jacobs. Jacobs is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big left from Jacobs misses. Hansen lands with a straight right. Jacobs didn't see that one coming. Hansen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jacobs momentarily.
Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hansen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hansen to the ground. Hansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Some wild striking there from Hansen.
Jacobs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hansen avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mac Hansen will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen is trying to drag Jacobs to the mat but Jacobs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mac Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobs taking a breather. Jacobs is working for takedown but Hansen is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hansen is pressed up against the cage. Jacobs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hansen down to the mat. Hansen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jacobs avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hansen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jacobs manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hansen is looking to escape. Jacobs passes to side control. Hansen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jacobs presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen tries to hold on but Jacobs pushes him away. Jacobs throws some wild stikes that Hansen manages to avoid easily.
Hansen is desperately trying to improve his position but Jacobs has a good base and remains in mount. Poor strikes thrown by Jacobs there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The referee warns Hansen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacobs sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Christian Jacobs has got the better of the ground game so far. Jacobs wants to control the pace but Hansen is squirming around nicely. Jacobs looking to ground and pound but Hansen is blocking nicely. Jacobs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hansen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hansen and Jacobs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hansen wants to control but Jacobs postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Christian Jacobs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jacobs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
