Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darrell tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Darrell shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Darrell looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Darrell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Darrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva prevents Darrell from getting the reversal.

Darrell tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control.

Silva cracks Darrell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Darrell is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Darrell is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Darrell to get the leverage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silva pushes Darrell off and gets back to his feet.
Darrell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva manages to break the clinch.
Darrell throws a lazy head kick
and Silva counters by clinching up.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Darrell.

Darrell wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.
