Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Clark might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rent a Wreck. Sawyer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. MegaDeth- This Day We FIGHT! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cyrus Sawyer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Clark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Cyrus Sawyer! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sawyer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice shot by Clark. Sawyer is looking to chop away at Clark's legs. Sawyer tries to clinch up. Clark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sawyer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Clark throws a right hand that Sawyer ducks under and follows up with a left that Sawyer also avoids with ease. Clark throws a right hand that Sawyer ducks under and follows up with a left that Sawyer also avoids with ease. Cyrus Sawyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clark scores with a jab. Sawyer acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sawyer throws a looping overhand right but Clark ducks down to avoid it. Sawyer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Clark closes the distance and lands a one-two. Clark misses with a double jab.
Sawyer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Clark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A swing and a miss from Sawyer. Sawyer takes a swing at Clark's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Clark takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Clark counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sawyer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Clark on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sawyer. Sawyer obviously looking to wear him down.
Clark swats away the attempt to clinch by Sawyer. Sawyer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
Clark walks into a straight right hand from Sawyer. Sawyer shoots in but Clark avoids the takedown attempt easily. A nice combination there by Sawyer.
Sawyer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Clark. Sawyer lands an overhand right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clark moves out of range of the body kick from Sawyer.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sawyer cracks Clark with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sawyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Clark throws a shot from downtown. Sawyer moves away and avoids it. Sawyer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Clark throws the left hand but Sawyer avoids the punch easily. Sawyer cracks Clark with a good jab. Sawyer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sawyer lands a nice hook to Clark's body. Clark takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sawyer misses with the combination.
Clark bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sawyer's head backwards. Clark throws a jab when Sawyer was well out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawyer fails in his attempt to clinch. No joy there for Clark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Good standup being displayed there by Sawyer as he connects with a hook. Sawyer throws a lazy right hand but Clark sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sawyer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Clark. Clark avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Clark dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sawyer wants to land a leg kick but Clark is out of range. Clark darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jack Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sawyer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Clark.
A low kick from Sawyer is predictable there and Clark counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sawyer misses with a hook. Sawyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Clark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Clark throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clark misses with a double jab.
Sawyer tries to clinch up and Clark counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sawyer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A punch lands to the side of Sawyer 's head but he takes it in his stride. Clark keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sawyer. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sawyer looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Clark misses with a wild combination.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sawyer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cyrus Sawyer will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Clark throws a jab when Sawyer was well out of range. A lazy left from Clark finds it's target. Sawyer thuds a left hand into Clark's body. Clark throws a nice looking combination but Sawyer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Clark lands a two punch combo.
Sawyer cracks Clark with a good jab. Sawyer scores with a body shot.
Sawyer throws a nice inside leg kick. Sawyer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clark stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sawyer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sawyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sawyer tries to bum rush Clark with a series of wild strikes but Clark uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sawyer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Clark tries to break the clinch but Sawyer is controlling the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Sawyer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Clark has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark manages to break the clinch.
Sawyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Clark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Clark gets tackled into the cage by Sawyer. Sawyer maintains the clinch. Clark prevents Sawyer from breaking the clinch. Clark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short left from Sawyer. Sawyer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sawyer tries to land knees in the clinch but Clark avoids the damage to the body. Clark manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Sawyer. Those never looked like landing. Sawyer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sawyer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clark paws at him with a jab and circles away. Clark misses with a series of wild punches.
Clark works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sawyer shoots in looking for a takedown but Clark manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sawyer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sawyer misses with a wild body shot. Sawyer shoots in but no luck this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sawyer tries to clinch but Clark is having none of it. Sawyer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Clark.
Clark swats away the attempt to clinch by Sawyer. Cyrus Sawyer seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sawyer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Clark takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Clark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jack Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cyrus Sawyer. Clark connects with a combination that backs up Sawyer into the cage. Clark lands a flurry of punches that gets past Sawyer's guard. Sawyer is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Clark bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
