Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leif Nygard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nygard comes to the cage accompanied by Dread Zeppelin - Immigrant Song. Vera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You are just a JOKE! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kid Vera is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera drops Nygard with a left right combo! Vera follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Leif Nygard has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nygard tries to bench press Vera off him but Vera keeps the position.
Vera throwing strikes but Nygard manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vera tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Nygard stands up and beckons Vera to his feet.

Nygard feints and then cracks Vera's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vera down.
Vera throws a hook but Nygard avoids it easily.
Nygard changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Leif Nygard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vera ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vera misses with a double jab.
Nygard throws a quick inside leg kick.

Nygard clobbers Vera with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nygard scores with a hook.
Nygard lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vera will feel that in the morning.

Nygard fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vera.

Nygard connects with a nice looking jab.
Nygard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
