Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alistair Thompson! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Five Sixteen closes the distance and clinches up with Thompson, looking for a takedown. Five Sixteen pushes Thompson against the cage but Thompson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Five Sixteen shoots in looking for a takedown but Thompson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Five Sixteen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Five Sixteen fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Five Sixteen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thompson gets caught flat footed, as Five Sixteen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Five Sixteen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Five Sixteen pushes down on Thompson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Five Sixteen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Five Sixteen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thompson for as long as he can get away with. Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Five Sixteen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Five Sixteen is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Thompson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
