Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Schamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schamp's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Go 2 Sleep. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Schamp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Maynard! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maynard tries to land a leg kick but Schamp saw it coming and moves away.
Schamp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maynard pinned against the cage. Maynard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Maynard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A jab from Maynard finds it's way through Schamp's defenses. Schamp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maynard but Maynard pushes him off and we're back to square one. Maynard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Sean Schamp has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schamp moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schamp is defended easily by Maynard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Schamp. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maynard connects with a right hand. Schamp shakes it off. Maynard misses with a double jab
and Schamp counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Maynard wants to stand up but Schamp is controlling him. Schamp trying to control but Maynard is working from the bottom. Schamp slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maynard keeping full guard, as Schamp tries to pass. Maynard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schamp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schamp postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maynard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Schamp, into his guard. Schamp being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sean Schamp has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Horrible takedown by Schamp or perhaps it was just good defense by Maynard which made him look bad. Schamp closes the distance and clinches. Maynard throws a punch but it's blocked by Schamp. Schamp pulls guard successfully.
Maynard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Maynard advances position into side control! Schamp manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schamp is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maynard pulls his head out easily. Maynard is looking to take a break and control but Schamp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Maynard is just content to waste time from the top position. Schamp takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Maynard dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sean Schamp's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Maynard throws a leg kick but Schamp checks it. Maynard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Schamp shoots in for a takedown but Maynard shows good takedown defense. Sean Schamp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maynard stalks Schamp and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Schamp's face. Schamp staggers backwards, shaken. Maynard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Schamp takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Schamp takes a jab right on the kisser.
John Maynard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schamp shoots in for a double leg but Maynard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Maynard cracks Schamp with a hook to the temple - Schamp is on wobbly legs here! Maynard swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Schamp falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Maynard wins by TKO!
