PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clean Jaude Damn Vame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rock comes to the cage accompanied by PSY - Gangnam Style. Damn Vame has chosen ADVANCED TRAINING as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lance Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clean Jaude Damn Vame!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damn Vame throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Damn Vame throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rock misses with a body kick.
Rock stalks Damn Vame and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Damn Vame's face. Damn Vame staggers backwards, shaken.
Damn Vame throws a chopping leg kick but Rock manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Damn Vame throws a head kick that misses.
Damn Vame gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rock.
Damn Vame pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Damn Vame defending well as Rock loads up on a big left hand.
Damn Vame on the wrong end of a nice jab.
An inside leg kick from Damn Vame misses.
Rock throws out a leg kick but Damn Vame moves out of range and Rock only half commits.
Rock throws a leg kick that misses.
Rock throws a body punch but Damn Vame moves out of range.
Damn Vame throws a head kick that misses

and Rock counters with a takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Damn Vame tries to buck Rock off but Rock is having none of it.
Rock trying to control the action but Damn Vame is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Damn Vame struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rock in side control, throwing shots but Damn Vame defends.
Damn Vame manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rock is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Rock wants to take a breather but Damn Vame is having none of it.
Rock prevents Damn Vame from improving his position.
Rock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Damn Vame knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Damn Vame moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damn Vame manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rock wants to control but Damn Vame is having none of it.
Damn Vame landing strikes from the mount and Rock is in trouble!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rock wants to control but Damn Vame is having none of it.
Rock sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Damn Vame thows a huge punch but Rock dodges it nicely.
Rock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Damn Vame.
Rock is doing well to control the position and prevent Damn Vame from advancing to side control.
Damn Vame not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rock wants to improve his position but Damn Vame is controlling well.
Damn Vame drops an elbow to the side of Rock's head.
Damn Vame is trying to control the action in half guard but Rock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Damn Vame throwing shots but Rock is blocking nicely.
Damn Vame looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Damn Vame trying to control from Rock's half guard. Rock has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Damn Vame in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Damn Vame looking to sit in guard and control but Rock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Damn Vame tries to strike from the bottom.
Rock postures up and lands a big shot to Damn Vame's brow.
Damn Vame is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Damn Vame manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rock manages to get himself to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Damn Vame tries to free his leg and advance position but Rock is retaining full guard.
Damn Vame trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Damn Vame has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rock wants to sweep here but Damn Vame controlling him for the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lance Rock will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Damn Vame throws a head kick that Rock semi-blocks.
A head kick from Damn Vame lands but Rock takes it in his stride.

It looks like Lance Rock has been cut.
Rock blocks a head kick by Damn Vame.
Rock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Damn Vame.
Damn Vame lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rock throws a leg kick but Damn Vame sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Damn Vame thuds his right hand into Rock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Rock is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Damn Vame! Rock is out on his feet! Damn Vame rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rock is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rock is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clean Jaude Damn Vame!
A relieved looking Clean Jaude Damn Vame thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
