The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stryker lands with a cross.
Stryker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pelayo.
Stryker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pelayo working hard to break the clinch.
Pelayo is trying to break free.
Stryker is pressed up against the cage. Pelayo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stryker down to the mat. Stryker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pelayo misses with a kick to the body.

Stryker moves into the clinch.
Stryker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Pelayo looks like he's trying to stand up.

Stryker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pelayo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pelayo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stryker is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johnny Stryker.
Stryker fails with a takedown attempt.
Stryker tries for a takedown but Pelayo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johnny Stryker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stryker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pelayo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stryker ducks right into an uppercut from Pelayo.
A telegraphed right hand from Pelayo misses the target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stryker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stryker looks to land a combination but Pelayo avoids it well.
Pelayo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Pelayo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pelayo wants it to stay on the feet.
Peter Pelayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Stryker.
Pelayo keeps the fight on the outside.

Stryker stuns Pelayo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pelayo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Pelayo missing with a left hand there. Stryker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Stryker tries to clinch up but Pelayo circles away and keeps his distance.
Pelayo lands a left and a right that send Stryker crashing to the mat, dazed. Pelayo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Stryker is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pelayo measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Stryker! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
