Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Houge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Houge is looking to reverse the position.
Houge is not content to let Smith control the position.
Houge is looking for a sweep.
Smith tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Houge showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Houge blocks the body kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Houge.
Houge tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Houge lands a nice forearm strike.
Houge lands a decent elbow from side control.
Smith is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Houge is controlling him well.
Smith wants to control but Houge postures up.
Houge in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Smith is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
