Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor has chosen as his entrance music. Tim Taylor will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete Patterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Taylor! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Taylor misses with a hook. Taylor throws a good cross that connects.
Nice defenses there by Patterson. Taylor throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Patterson's head. Patterson gets the takedown into side control. Taylor wants to control but Patterson postures up. Patterson misses with the ground and pound. Taylor can't do much from the bottom here. Taylor is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Patterson off and has taken his back! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Taylor punches Patterson on the ear. Taylor has the hooks in. Patterson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Patterson trying to control the position but Taylor manages to sink in the hooks. Taylor is trying to stick to Patterson's back but Patterson is turning into Taylor. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Taylor's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Patterson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor pushes Patterson off and gets back to his feet.
Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A jab from Patterson misses. Patterson blocks the body kick.
Taylor thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Patterson if he has to take too many more of those.
Taylor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Patterson. Good exchange - Taylor coming out on top. Taylor thows a left - swing and a miss! A punch combination from Taylor misses. Patterson defending well as Taylor loads up on a big left hand. Taylor cracks a nice hook into Patterson's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patterson takes a swing at Taylor's ribcage but misses. Taylor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Patterson.
Patterson fails with a takedown attempt. Patterson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taylor's head backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Patterson staying out of range there. A leg kick checked by Patterson. Taylor throws a series of punches but Patterson moves out of range. Taylor throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely. Taylor misses with a few strikes there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Patterson misses with an uppercut. Taylor misses with a body shot.
Patterson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Patterson does a little dance to reset his feet. Patterson has closed the distance and engaged Taylor in a clinch.
Taylor is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Taylor tries to stall but Patterson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Taylor tries to break free but Patterson pushes him back against the cage. Taylor wants to get back to striking at distance but Patterson won't allow it.
Taylor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor working hard to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Taylor dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A head kick misses from Taylor. Taylor feints a jab promting Patterson to slip. Taylor then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Patterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Tim Taylor seems to be getting the better of the standup. Taylor throws a lazy uppercut
and Patterson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and Patterson moves out of range easily. Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Taylor. Taylor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Taylor thuds a left hand into Patterson's body. Taylor throws a hook to the side of Patterson's head but Patterson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Taylor misses with a lunging right hand
and Patterson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Patterson avoids the body shot from Taylor.

Jab, jab by Taylor - just one landing. This has been an exciting period of action! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Taylor - that will leave a mark!
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor throws the left hand but Patterson avoids the punch easily. A slow jab from Taylor misses its intended target. Taylor looks to land a right hand but Patterson moved out of range. Tim Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Taylor. Taylor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patterson. That did some damage! Patterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Taylor. Taylor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Taylor throws an overhand right that lands on Patterson's shoulder, as Patterson tries to avoid the shot. A jab from Patterson misses. Taylor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Patterson throws out the jab. Taylor cracks Patterson with a good jab. Taylor jabs at Patterson's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Taylor. Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Taylor. Taylor cracks Patterson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taylor throws a nice looking combination but Patterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Patterson avoids the body shot from Taylor.

Taylor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Patterson manages to avoid it. Taylor misses with a looping right. Patterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Taylor's face as he tries to break the clinch. Patterson tries for a takedown but Taylor manages to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor has a couple of punches blocked by Patterson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Taylor goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Taylor lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Patterson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Patterson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Patterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and Patterson moves out of range easily. Taylor misses with an uppercut
and Patterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Patterson avoids the head kick by Taylor.
Taylor throws a hook but Patterson avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Patterson does a little dance to reset his feet. Taylor throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Patterson scores with a sloppy right hand. Taylor should have avoided that one. Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Patterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Patterson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taylor momentarily.

and Taylor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice defenses there by Patterson. Patterson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Taylor looks to throw the jab but Patterson is out of range. Tim Taylor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Patterson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Patterson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor scores with a leg kick.

Patterson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Taylor wants to slow Patterson down by chopping away at his legs. Patterson is looking to score with low kicks. Taylor throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely. Patterson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Taylor. Taylor misses with a looping left. Taylor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
