Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luan Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Derrick Thomas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen misses with a few strikes there.
Nguyen is looking to clinch.
Nguyen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nguyen gets slowly back to his feet.
A swing and a miss from Thomas.
Derrick Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nguyen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nguyen gets tackled into the cage by Thomas. Thomas maintains the clinch.
Thomas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nguyen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nguyen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Thomas counters by clinching up.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luan Nguyen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nguyen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thomas pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Nguyen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thomas smiles and moves away.
Thomas scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Luan Nguyen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas tries to sprawl but Nguyen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nguyen is working for a kimura but Thomas is defending it quite comfortably.
Nguyen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Thomas tries to roll over but Nguyen keeps him under control.
Nguyen stops Thomas from getting back to his feet.
Nguyen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thomas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nguyen.
Nguyen trying to control from half guard but Thomas is working away.

Nguyen is taking a breather. Thomas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nguyen is trying to control the action in half guard but Thomas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Nguyen is trying for a kimura here. Thomas looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nguyen wins by kimura!
