Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Freddie Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hacksaw Henry!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia fails with the takedown
and Henry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Henry throws a shot to the body.
Henry wants to clinch.
Henry scores with a jab. Garcia acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Garcia tries for a takedown but Henry circles away easily
and Henry counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Henry lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Garcia misses with a takedown
and Henry counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Garcia gets tackled into the ropes by Henry. Henry maintains the clinch.
Henry misses with some punches.
Garcia on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Garcia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hacksaw Henry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Garcia shoots and misses
and Henry counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Henry tries to clinch up but Garcia circles away and keeps his distance.

Henry is looking to clinch but Garcia is avoiding it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Garcia fails with a takedown attempt.
Garcia is breathing heavily.
Henry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Garcia.

Henry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Garcia blocks the elbow strike.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Garcia jumps into guard, dragging Henry to the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Garcia looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Henry passes into side control.
Garcia tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Henry easily slips into full mount!

Garcia wants to control but Henry is having none of it.
Henry is landing with some decent strikes but Garcia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Henry lands a heavy elbow.
Garcia wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Henry.
Garcia is in a horrible position here. Henry smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Henry unloads with some shots from mount but Garcia bucks and avoids them well.
Henry throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Garcia bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Henry has control of Garcia's left arm, preventing Garcia from doing any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Henry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Garcia trying to control but Henry is working from the bottom.
Garcia is looking to work some ground and pound but Henry has wrist control.
Garcia is pushing down on Henry's leg trying to pass to half guard. Henry is fighting to maintain full guard but Garcia has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Garcia is looking for a kimura but Henry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage.
Henry is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hacksaw Henry dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Garcia shoots and misses
and Henry counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Garcia thinking.
Henry connects with a single shot there.
Henry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Garcia scores with a spinning back kick!
Henry closes the distance but Garcia moves to the side

and Garcia counters with a takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Henry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Garcia is working Henry over with some ground and pound from side control.
Garcia creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Henry sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Garcia has hold of Henry's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Henry seems comfortable defending it but Garcia has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Henry is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Henry is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Garcia couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Freddie Garcia!
