The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
No joy there for Xavi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Holmes misses with the combination.
Holmes lands with a nice body punch.
Xavi drops his hands momentarily and Holmes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Xavi blocks a head kick by Holmes.
Holmes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Xavi gets a double leg takedown into Holmes's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Xavi is standing up over Holmes. Holmes looks to escape but Xavi dives into side control.
Holmes is trying to get back to his feet.
Xavi stands up and beckons Holmes to his feet.
Xavi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Holmes circles away.

Nice sprawl there from Holmes as Xavi shoots in.
Xavi shoots for a double leg takedown but Holmes sprawls well. He's pushed Xavi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ady Xavi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Holmes leaves Xavi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Xavi is breathing heavily.
Holmes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Xavi looks to land a right hand but Holmes moved out of range.

Holmes scores with a sloppy right hand. Xavi should have avoided that one.
Holmes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Holmes lands a jab to Xavi's midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Holmes throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Xavi crashing down! Xavi tries to stagger back to his feet but Holmes just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Xavi asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
