Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrone Johnston will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyrone Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitchell's waist but Mitchell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnston off to one side.
Johnston shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mitchell defends it nicely.
Mitchell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Johnston misses with a takedown
and Mitchell moves into the clinch.
Patrick Mitchell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone Johnston.
Mitchell drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Johnston might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mitchell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyrone Johnston was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mitchell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnston pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Johnston doesn't manage to clinch there - Mitchell circles away.

Mitchell is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Johnston to keep the fight standing.
The referee calls for Mitchell to work.
Johnston tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mitchell smiles and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnston fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mitchell, pushing him back against the cage.
Mitchell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mitchell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnston walks away with a smile on his face. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Johnston looks to land a combination. Mitchell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Patrick Mitchell has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Johnston.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnston tries to clinch but Mitchell is having none of it.
Mitchell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Johnston is able to avoid easily.

and Mitchell counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mitchell.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mitchell is breathing heavily.

Johnston is trying to control the position but Mitchell postures up.
Johnston tries to strike from the bottom.
Mitchell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell connects with a couple of short punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mitchell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Johnston!
Mitchell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mitchell won't let Johnston get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mitchell moves into the clinch successfully.
Johnston jumps guard but Mitchell turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Johnston has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mitchell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Johnston is trying to break the clinch but Mitchell is controlling him.
Mitchell gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Mitchell moves into full mount! Johnston won't be happy about that!
Johnston tries to hold on but Mitchell postures up.

Johnston takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Johnston wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Johnston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Patrick Mitchell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

It looks like Tyrone Johnston has been cut.
Mitchell postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Johnston badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Mitchell around the waist but Mitchell pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Mitchell is the winner by TKO! Mitchell jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
