PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Olrac Recto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockem Sockem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olrac Recto had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rockem Sockem is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Recto misses with a straight left.

Recto closes the distance and clinches.
Recto with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Recto manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Recto.
Recto tries to close the distance and clinch but Sockem swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Recto wants to clinch up but Sockem keeps it at a distance.
A bone on bone clash there as Sockem blocks the leg kick.
Sockem goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sockem throws a lazy head kick
and Recto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Recto closes the distance and clinches.
Recto throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Recto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Recto steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sockem. That one must have hurt.
Recto wants to clinch up but Sockem keeps it at a distance.
Recto blocks a head kick by Sockem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sockem throws a body kick that misses.
Recto has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Recto plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Sockem is rocked!
Recto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sockem is still on wobbly legs! Can Recto finish him?

This has been an exciting period of action!

Recto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Recto.

Recto lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sockem swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sockem throws a combination. Recto tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sockem works over Recto's head and body with a nice combination.
Recto takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Recto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Olrac Recto dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Recto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sockem swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Recto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Recto throws a wild body kick that Sockem sees coming a mile off.

Recto gets tackled into the ropes by Sockem. Sockem maintains the clinch.

Olrac Recto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Recto connects with an inside leg kick.
Recto catches Sockem napping and cracks him with a perfect head kick! Sockem goes down! He's bigtime hurt! He's not going to make it back to his feet - the referee has called it off! This one is all over!
