Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boris JorJovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Menger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bring Back The Music - by Sweatshop Union. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris JorJovsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Menger!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menger misses with a body shot.
JorJovsky jabs at Menger's body.
Menger throws a lazy uppercut
and JorJovsky counters with a nice kick to the body.
Menger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but JorJovsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Menger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and JorJovsky counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Menger uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before JorJovsky has time to react.
JorJovsky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Menger throws a series of punches but JorJovsky moves out of range.
JorJovsky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Menger moves away.

JorJovsky blocks a head kick by Menger.
Menger tries to bum rush JorJovsky with a series of wild strikes but JorJovsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from JorJovsky is defended easily by Menger.

Menger misses with a few strikes there.
Menger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Menger takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Menger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
JorJovsky fails in his attempt to clinch.
Menger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Menger misses with a lunging right hand
and JorJovsky counters with a leg kick.
JorJovsky throws a low kick but Menger avoids it.
JorJovsky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Menger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten JorJovsky somewhat.
Menger misses the jab.

Danga de danga de dang - Menger scores with a four punch combination!
JorJovsky is looking to clinch.
Menger circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Menger 's head but he takes it in his stride.
JorJovsky slips a jab and a cross from Menger.

JorJovsky takes the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Menger lands a hook that snaps the head of JorJovsky backwards.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Menger.
Menger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
JorJovsky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris JorJovsky. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Menger is struggling to control the position.
JorJovsky is looking to take this one to the mat.
JorJovsky changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Menger fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Carl Menger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menger throws a nice looking combination but JorJovsky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Menger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by JorJovsky.
Menger throws an off balance right hand
and JorJovsky counters with a nice leg kick.
Menger throws a looping overhand right but JorJovsky ducks down to avoid it.
Menger misses with a lunging right hand
and JorJovsky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
JorJovsky tries to clinch but Menger moves out of range.
Menger takes a swing at JorJovsky's ribcage but misses.

JorJovsky manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Menger on his heels. He'll look to pass Menger's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
JorJovsky advances position into side control!
JorJovsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Menger keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Menger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
JorJovsky cracks Menger with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Menger is trying to improve his position.
Menger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Menger wants to improve his position but JorJovsky is controlling well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

JorJovsky is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Menger works his way to full guard. Good work.
JorJovsky trying to control but Menger is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Menger manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Menger working the ground and pound effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

JorJovsky moves away from the strike by Menger.
Menger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Menger sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks JorJovsky to the ground! Menger dives into full mount looking to finish!


JorJovsky is rocked!


It looks like Boris JorJovsky has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

JorJovsky tries to reverse the position but Menger maintains control.
Menger connects with a bit shot that sees JorJovsky covering up! More strikes from Menger and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Menger is our winner by TKO!
