PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jager Statsy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jeff Chan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jager Statsy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Chan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Statsy misses the shot to the body.

Chan tries to keep at a distance but Statsy has taken the fight into the clinch.

Statsy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chan shoots for a takedown but Statsy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Statsy wants to take a breather but Chan manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Statsy.

Statsy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Chan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Statsy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jager Statsy.

Statsy thuds his right hand into Chan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
