Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Coug Hunter! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Anstey throwing strikes here but Hunter is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hunter is trying to escape the mount.
Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anstey working the ground and pound effectively.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Anstey with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Anstey has control of Hunter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hunter regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hunter is looking to get to half guard. Hunter wants to hold on but Anstey pushes him away. Anstey throws some wild stikes that Hunter manages to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hunter is looking to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hunter misses with a takedown attempt and Anstey counters with a shoot takedown. Hunter fights it but they end up in guard. Hunter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hunter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Anstey slips nicely into half guard. Anstey throwing shots but Hunter is blocking nicely. Hunter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hunter looking for submissions off his back. Anstey not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey works his way into side control. Anstey working away. Anstey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hunter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Anstey is breathing heavily. Hunter is looking to reverse the position. Anstey advances nicely into full mount. Hunter working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anstey lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hunter hang on? Anstey quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Anstey but it's paid off an Hunter is forced to tap! Nice work by Anstey.
