PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Krifus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krifus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, RAWR. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Krifus.
Krifus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.

Krifus closes the distance and clinches.
Krifus tries to pull guard but Smith forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hunter Krifus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Krifus jumps into guard, dragging Smith to the mat.

Krifus pushes Smith off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Krifus is doing well to control the position and prevent Smith from advancing to side control.

Krifus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smith's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smith's back!

Smith defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Krifus's arms.

Krifus is working for a rear naked choke. Smith is not defending it well and Krifus has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Smith refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Smith's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
