Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erik Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joona Vuorensola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vuorensola takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Hansen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hansen decides to stand back up.
Hansen jabs Vuorensola to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hansen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Vuorensola clinches up against the cage.
Vuorensola gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hansen.
Hansen is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hansen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hansen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vuorensola manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vuorensola pinned against the cage. Vuorensola gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vuorensola is trying to force a seperation but Hansen has the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vuorensola has had enough of the clinch but Hansen keeps him there for the moment.

Vuorensola throws a series of punches but Hansen avoids them all with ease.

Hansen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vuorensola's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hansen postures up in Vuorensola's guard and throws a big left but Vuorensola blocks it.
Hansen wants to stand but Vuorensola has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Vuorensola throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Vuorensola has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hansen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Erik Hansen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hansen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Vuorensola just misses with a punch to the body.

Hansen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hansen lands in his opponent's guard.
Hansen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We're going to have a standup here because Erik Hansen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hansen misses with a two punch combination.
Vuorensola tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vuorensola tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hansen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vuorensola gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hansen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hansen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vuorensola thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hansen postures up in Vuorensola's guard and throws a big left but Vuorensola blocks it.
Hansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vuorensola swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hansen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vuorensola, up you get!

Hansen fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Hansen has hold of Vuorensola's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vuorensola seems comfortable defending it but Hansen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vuorensola is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vuorensola is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hansen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
