Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Chaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Chaney!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Manley !
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chaney tries to avoid it but Manley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chaney to the ground. Chaney escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Manley gets a takedown into half guard.
Chaney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chaney manages to get to full guard.
Manley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Chaney trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Manley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Chaney is looking for a triangle but Manley pushes his legs off easily.
Chaney not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Horrible takedown by Chaney or perhaps it was just good defense by Manley which made him look bad.

Chaney tries to lock up and control but Manley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chaney holds on, trying desperately to control.

Manley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chaney to the mat! Chaney manages to get full guard.

Manley stands and steps away. Chaney gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Chaney shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chaney shoots in and drives through. Manley sprawls well.
James Chaney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Manley tries to land a front kick but Chaney steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Manley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chaney counters with a good low kick that Manley was not able to check.

Manley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manley is looking for a kimura here.
Manley is breathing heavily.
Chaney is staying active underneath Manley , who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Manley is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Chaney still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Chaney has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Chaney decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Chaney is looking to clinch but Manley is avoiding it.

Chaney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manley 's waist but Manley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chaney off to one side.

Manley closes the distance and pushes Chaney back into the cage.

Manley tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chaney has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Chaney takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jon Manley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Chaney dives in and grabs Manley 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Manley pushes down on Chaney's head and hops out.

Manley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chaney tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Manley is in Chaney's guard.
Manley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chaney swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Manley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Manley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chaney shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manley as he jumps to the side.
Chaney misses with a takedown attempt - Manley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Manley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chaney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Manley sprawls well. Manley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chaney gets slowly back to his feet.

Chaney has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Manley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Manley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Chaney looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manley is fending him off so far but Chaney persists. Nope, Manley circles away and we're back to standing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Manley winds up and cracks Chaney with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Chaney wants to control but Manley is keeping busy.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chaney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Manley has hold of one of Chaney's legs. Chaney is fighting the takedown attempt but Manley gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Chaney pushes Manley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Manley takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Chaney fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Manley avoids it really well and circles away.
Manley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chaney sprawls well. Chaney wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Manley gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Chaney has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Manley is working away from the top position though.

Manley goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Chaney does a handstand and catches Manley in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Chaney on top - Manley is already out from the submission! Chaney gives Manley 's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
