The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Hughes with that takedown attempt.
Hughes shoots in for a takedown but Kealoha shows good takedown defense.
Kealoha throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hughes counters with a head kick.
Hughes fails with the takedown.
Keanu Kealoha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manuel Hughes.
Kealoha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hughes.
Hughes shoots in but Kealoha avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hughes looks winded!
Kealoha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hughes is trying to pull guard but Kealoha has him pressed against the cage.
Hughes keeps control of Kealoha as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kealoha pulls guard successfully.
Kealoha doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kealoha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hughes defends well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kealoha throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Kealoha manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hughes is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kealoha locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Hughes is forced to tap!
