And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgarthy goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Rex Raptor has been cut.
Raptor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mcgarthy lands with a nice body kick.
Mcgarthy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Raptor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mcgarthy is in Raptor's guard.
Raptor is rocked!
Mcgarthy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Raptor is still in real trouble! Can Mcgarthy finish him?
Mcgarthy pushes down on Raptor's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Raptor seems to have recovered his senses.

Rex Raptor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That kick from Mcgarthy tenderised Raptor's leg. Raptor is trying to keep his angry face on.
Raptor gets caught napping as Mcgarthy dives in and scores a takedown. Raptor manages to retain guard.

Raptor has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Mcgarthy patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Mcgarthy lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Mcgarthy is riding his opponent, not letting Raptor buck him off.
