Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Migeal Quintes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Jin! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jin throws a front kick that sends Quintes stumbling back into the cage. Jin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A leg kick checked by Jin. Quintes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jin manages to avoid it. Quintes stalks Jin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jin's face. Jin staggers backwards, shaken. Jin throws a low kick but Quintes moves out of range easily. Quintes misses with a series of wild punches.
Jin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jin slips a jab and a cross from Quintes.

Migeal Quintes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jin scores with a head kick.
It looks like Migeal Quintes has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crunch! Jin slams his shin into Quintes's torso.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quintes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jin feints and then cracks Quintes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quintes down. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Quintes. Jin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Quintes is breathing heavily. Jin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. No luck for Quintes with that takedown attempt. Jin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Quintes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Quintes shoots in looking for a takedown. Jin tries to sprawl out of it but Quintes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Migeal Quintes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jin swivels and escapes. Quintes avoids a kick to the body.

Jin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Quintes is able to avoid easily. Ryu Jin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jin. Quintes misses with a low kick as Jin jumps back. Quintes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jin's waist but Jin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quintes off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jin throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Jin tries a head kick but it misses.
Jin throws a quick inside leg kick. Jin cracks Quintes with a good jab. Jin circles away from the clinch attempt and Jin counters with a lovely shot to the body. Jin tries to land a front kick but Quintes steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jin lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Quintes. Jin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Quintes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryu Jin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Migeal Quintes's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jin misses with a wild body shot. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Quintes. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Quintes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Quintes moves to clinch but Jin breaks away and Jin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Quintes really felt that one! Jin dodges the punch combination from Quintes.
Jin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Nice body kick there by Jin. Jin scores with a spinning back kick! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jin scores with a nice strike. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jin lands the left hand. Nice body kick from Jin. Quintes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jin. Jin obviously looking to wear him down.

Jin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Quintes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ryu Jin seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jin throws a sloppy head kick and Quintes moves out of range easily. Jin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jin throws a quick inside leg kick. Migeal Quintes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Quintes is looking to clinch but Jin is avoiding it.
Good leg kick by Jin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Jin obviously looking to wear him down.
Quintes tries to close the distance and clinch but Jin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jin lands a leg kick that knocks Quintes off balance momentarily. Quintes avoids the head kick by Jin.

Jin looks for the body kick but Quintes saw that one coming. Quintes is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Quintes wants to clinch and Jin counters with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quintes shoots in for a takedown but Jin shows good takedown defense. Jin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jin, right into the meat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jin scores with a kick to the midsection. Quintes throws a half hearted mid kick. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Quintes might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. A slapping body kick lands there for Jin. Quintes will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Quintes slips a jab and a cross from Jin.

Jin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Quintes moves in looking to clinch but Jin pushes him off. Jin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Quintes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jin. Jin finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Quintes checks a leg kick nicely. Some bone on bone action there as Quintes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Quintes scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jin misses with an attempted mid kick.

Jin keeps the fight on the outside. Quintes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jin's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jin seems keen to control Quintes's posture. Quintes trying to control but Jin is working from the bottom. Jin looking to control.
Quintes looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jin tries a low kick but Quintes avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jin slips a jab and a cross from Quintes.
Quintes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jin feints and then cracks Quintes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quintes down. Quintes wants to clinch up but Jin keeps it at a distance. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jin checks a leg kick. Quintes shoots in and drives through. Jin sprawls well. Quintes keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Quintes dives in and grabs Jin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jin pushes down on Quintes's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Migeal Quintes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jin sizes up Quintes with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Quintes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Quintes moves out of range of the strikes. Migeal Quintes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Quintes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Quintes closes the distance but Jin moves to the side and Jin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Jin scoring well with a low kick there.
That kick from Jin tenderised Quintes's leg. Quintes is trying to keep his angry face on. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quintes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jin. That one must have hurt. Jin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Quintes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryu Jin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ryu Jin! Ryu Jin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
