The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alvarez.
Alvarez thows a body shot but no joy.
Winchester misses with a body kick.
Winchester throws a shot from downtown. Alvarez moves away and avoids it.
Winchester fails with a takedown attempt.
Alvarez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Winchester on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Alvarez. Alvarez obviously looking to wear him down.
Alvarez clobbers Winchester with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Winchester staying out of range there.
Alvarez loads up on a big right hand but Winchester slips the punch.
Winchester shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alvarez defends it nicely.
Alvarez closes the distance looking to clinch
and Winchester counters with a head kick that drops Alvarez - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
Alvarez is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Winchester content to control rather than advance.

Winchester throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Winchester seems to be looking for submissions.
Alvarez holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Alvarez is in trouble now - Winchester has advanced to mount!
Winchester working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Alvarez is still in real trouble! Can Winchester finish him?
Alvarez is wriggling around trying to escape.

Winchester controlling from mount.
Alvarez takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Winchester's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
