Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edgardo Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remo Williams! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Salazar doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Williams lands with a shot to the body. Williams moves into range and connects with a jab. Salazar tries to clinch letting Williams counter with a right hand. Salazar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Salazar closes the distance but Williams moves to the side and Williams counters with a nice body shot. Salazar wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side and Williams counters with a nice uppercut. Salazar tries to clinch up and Williams counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams cracks a nice hook into Salazar's ribs. Williams circles away from the clinch attempt and Williams counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Salazar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Williams counters with a right hand to the body. Salazar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Edgardo Salazar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by Salazar. Salazar tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side and Williams counters with a one-two to the body. Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Salazar tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salazar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Williams scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams sizes up Salazar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Remo Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salazar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A shot to the liver by Williams. Beautiful body shot. Salazar looks to clinch enabling Williams to counter with a crisp jab. Salazar slips under a jab. Salazar wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side letting Williams counter with a right hand. Williams throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Edgardo Salazar has been cut. Williams drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Salazar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Williams is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Salazar wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Remo Williams dominated that round. The cut man is working on Edgardo Salazar's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Salazar is looking to clinch. Salazar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Salazar there as he acknowledges the shot. Williams lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Williams connects with a body shot that sends Salazar's belly button to the back. Williams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nice uppercut lands for Williams. That snapped Salazar's head back.
Salazar throws a chopping leg kick but Williams manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar tries to clinch up and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Salazar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Salazar lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
This has been an exciting period of action! Salazar tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Williams lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Salazar backwards. Williams wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Williams is looking to take this one to the mat. Edgardo Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Remo Williams.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Williams has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Williams manages to break the clinch.
Good exchange - Williams coming out on top. Williams connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Salazar tries to move into range but Williams moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Salazar is rocked! Salazar gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Williams gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Remo Williams!
