Fotev misses with a body shot.
Cyrus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fotev.
Fotev loads up on a big right hand but Cyrus slips the punch.
Fotev connects with a body shot that sends Cyrus's belly button to the back.
Fotev connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cyrus's hands.
Georgi Fotev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cyrus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fotev's waist but Fotev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cyrus off to one side.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fotev can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cyrus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fotev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cyrus has Fotev in his guard.
Fotev content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Cyrus has locked up a guillotine! Cyrus's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Fotev is holding on here and Cyrus must be using up a lot of energy. Fotev has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cyrus gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
