Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Lyon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Ramon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleks Lyon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Ramon!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramon lunges at Lyon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lyon's hand.
Ramon throws a series of punches but Lyon moves out of range.
Ramon cracks Lyon with an uppercut from hell and Lyon crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ramon's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Lyon is rocked!
Ramon trying to control the position from guard on top but Lyon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oh Lyon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramon wants to pass the guard but Lyon is keeping the position.
Lyon keeping moving, preventing Ramon from controlling successfully.
Lyon seems to have got his legs back now.

Lyon has his foot on Ramon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ramon works his way back into a safe position though.

Lyon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ramon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lyon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ramon's back instead.

Ramon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Lyon could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lyon is breathing heavily.
Ramon trying to control the action but Lyon just sinks the hooks in.
Ramon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lyon's guard. Nice work there by Ramon.

Ramon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Fred Ramon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramon lands with a big right hook that stumbles Lyon - he's out on his feet here! Ramon follows up with another monster hook that separates Lyon from consciousness! Lyon falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ramon stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Fred Ramon!
