Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Lidae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimo Fabbri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lidae comes to the cage accompanied by Lighters. Massimo Fabbri told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidae closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fabbri did well to prevent Lidae getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fabbri pushes Lidae off looking to stand but Lidae dives back in and keeps control.
Lidae is working for a kimura but Fabbri is defending it quite comfortably.

Fabbri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lidae with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fabbri tries to pass to full mount but Lidae defends it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Lidae counters with a three punch combo that has Fabbri backing up. Fabbri nods at Lidae to acknowledge the strikes.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fabbri, as that shot connected.

Well Fabbri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
