Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Lonkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Moran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Lonkar !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Moran!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moran throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Lonkar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moran sprawls well initially but Lonkar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lonkar trying to mount his opponent but Moran defends it.
Lonkar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Moran gets full guard.
Lonkar controlling from the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lonkar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lonkar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Moran to the mat! Moran manages to get full guard.
Moran bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lonkar 's guard.

Lonkar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lonkar is pressing down on Moran's thigh, looking to free his foot. Moran is holding on for now.

Moran scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Moran drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lonkar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moran has Lonkar in his guard.

and Moran counters by clinching up.
Lonkar lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Moran backwards.
Moran tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Moran wants a takedown.
Lonkar goes for a takedown attempt but Moran pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Moran feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Moran bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Moran wants to get up but he can't break Lonkar 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A close third round but Chase Moran just about did enough to take it.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lonkar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moran can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lonkar had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Moran is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lonkar Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Moran's back instead.
Lonkar lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Lonkar has the hooks in. Moran is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Lonkar looking to break Moran's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Moran remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lonkar will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Moran shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Moran was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Moran moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lonkar has worked his arm free - good work by Lonkar !
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Lonkar manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Moran slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lonkar .
Lonkar is pressing down on Moran's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Moran sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lonkar 's guard.

Moran is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lonkar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moran.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Moran connects with a nice short shot to Lonkar 's temple.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moran.
Lonkar feints and then cracks Moran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Moran down.

Lonkar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lonkar is working Moran over with some ground and pound from side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Chase Moran.
I think Lonkar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
