Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atomic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Atomic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mir parries the strikes from Atomic easily there. Atomic is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mir to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Atomic's waist but Atomic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mir off to one side.

Mir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Atomic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Atomic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tom Atomic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Mir.
Well Atomic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tom Atomic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
