Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gyawang Lhad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rasheed Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lhad comes to the cage accompanied by Iced Earth - Anthem. Wallace has chosen Gin and Juice Snoop D ogg as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gyawang Lhad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rasheed Wallace! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace misses with a combination
and Lhad counters with an outside leg kick.
Wallace looks to land a right hand but Lhad moved out of range. Lhad lands a head kick. Wallace smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Wallace throws a combination. Lhad tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Gyawang Lhad has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lhad misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lhad is looking to clinch. Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wallace circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace misses with a wild body shot. Rasheed Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Wallace scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Wallace misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lhad.
Lhad moves into the clinch. Lhad fails to pull guard.
Lhad tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wallace just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gyawang Lhad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lhad creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wallace's defenses. Lhad lands an elbow just above Wallace 's eye.
It looks like Rasheed Wallace has been cut. Lhad lands an elbow inside. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lhad tries to pull guard but Wallace forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wallace wants to stand up but Lhad is controlling him. Lhad has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wallace is proving hard to escape from. Wallace wants to stand and escape but Lhad is having none of it. Lhad showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lhad prevents Wallace from getting back to his feet. Wallace has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lhad off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Wallace does no damage. Wallace misses with a double jab
and Lhad counters by clinching up. Wallace looks winded! Lhad using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Lhad lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Lhad wants to take the fight to the mat but Wallace manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Lhad gets control of Wallace's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lhad will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lhad wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wallace wants to get up but he can't break Lhad's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lhad tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lhad manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lhad fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lhad controlling from the full mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lhad lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wallace hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gyawang Lhad dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lhad gets a clinch. Lhad lands a nice elbow. Lhad breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lhad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to avoid it but Lhad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wallace to the ground. Wallace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lhad shoots in but no luck this time. Lhad shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wallace's guard. Lhad stops Wallace from standing up. Lhad is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lhad prevents Wallace from getting back to his feet. Lhad is looking to work some ground and pound but Wallace has wrist control. Wallace has a closed guard, preventing Lhad from standing up. Lhad controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Gyawang Lhad just wasn't active enough. Wallace misses with the combination.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace throws a combination that misses and Lhad counters with a three punch combo that has Wallace backing up. Wallace nods at Lhad to acknowledge the strikes. Wallace stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gyawang Lhad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lhad tries for a takedown but Wallace sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lhad clinches up against the cage. Nice elbow from Lhad. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lhad tries to pull guard but Wallace holds him up against the cage and eventually Lhad drops back down to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gyawang Lhad. Lhad pushes Wallace up against the cage in a clinch. Lhad lands an elbow that stopped Wallace in his tracks for a moment. Lhad is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wallace pulls him back up using the underhooks. Gyawang Lhad has scored more points in the clinch so far. Lhad jumps into guard, dragging Wallace to the mat.
Wallace stands up from Lhad's guard - Wallace perhaps looking for a knockout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace takes a swing at Lhad's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A big left from Wallace misses. Wallace fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lhad circles away quickly and effectively. Wallace misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wallace throws a right hand that Lhad ducks under and follows up with a left that Lhad also avoids with ease. Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Lhad makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Lhad shoots in and gets a takedown into Wallace's guard. Wallace wants to get back to his feet but Lhad is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lhad has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lhad sitting in guard here, content to control. Wallace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Lhad counters with a head kick that drops Wallace! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lhad's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wallace has momentary wrist control but Lhad slips an elbow through the middle. Wallace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lhad is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lhad is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lhad lands a couple of elbows. Rasheed Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lhad is looking to stand up but Wallace won't let him. Gyawang Lhad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lhad controls the pace. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lhad feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lhad sitting in guard here, content to control. And that's the end of the fight! Gyawang Lhad showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lhad has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
