Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piet Van Rooyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaylin Acker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piet Van Rooyen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaylin Acker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acker fails in his attempt to clinch. Acker is looking to clinch but Van Rooyen is avoiding it.
Van Rooyen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Acker forces Van Rooyen back against the cage and clinches. Acker landing knees to the head.
Van Rooyen tries to break free but Acker pushes him back against the cage. Van Rooyen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Acker looks to throw an elbow but misses. Van Rooyen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Van Rooyen blocks an elbow strike. Van Rooyen takes a knee right on the jaw!
Acker lands an elbow just above Van Rooyen 's eye.
It looks like Piet Van Rooyen has been cut. Acker with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Acker lands a knee to the head.
Van Rooyen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Acker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Acker wants to clinch up but Van Rooyen keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acker throws a sloppy head kick and Van Rooyen moves out of range easily. Van Rooyen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Van Rooyen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Acker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Van Rooyen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Acker is trying to stand back up but Van Rooyen is controlling him
Van Rooyen controlling the action here. Van Rooyen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Acker for as long as he can get away with.
Piet Van Rooyen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Acker lands with a nice combination. Van Rooyen backs away looking to recover.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Acker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Van Rooyen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Acker wants to clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Acker is looking to clinch. Van Rooyen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Acker! Van Rooyen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Acker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Van Rooyen has just dragged him back down to the mat. That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Rooyen staying calm. Van Rooyen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Acker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Van Rooyen asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Van Rooyen taking a breather here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Van Rooyen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Van Rooyen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Van Rooyen has hold of Acker's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Acker seems comfortable defending it but Van Rooyen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Acker is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Acker is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Van Rooyen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
