Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perry Roscrow! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roscrow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bronson sprawls well. Bronson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roscrow gets slowly back to his feet. Bronson misses with a left hand and Roscrow counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Nice body kick from Bronson. Nice jab there from Bronson. Bronson misses the jab. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bronson scores with a leg kick.
Roscrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bronson as he jumps to the side. Bronson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Charles Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perry Roscrow. Bronson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Roscrow connects with a body shot that sends Bronson's belly button to the back. Charles Bronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roscrow fails miserably with a takedown attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roscrow with a lazy takedown attempt and Bronson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Roscrow looks winded! Some wild striking there from Bronson.
Roscrow fails to land the takedown. Bronson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bronson scores with a hook to the body. Roscrow takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Bronson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Roscrow's head.
It looks like Perry Roscrow has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson lands a jab to Roscrow's midsection. Bronson lands a nice shot to the body.
Bronson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bronson swings for the body but Roscrow moves out of range.
Roscrow gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roscrow. Bronson lands a nice shot that snaps Roscrow's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bronson connects with a leg kick. Roscrow looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Roscrow takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Roscrow shoots for a double leg takedown but Bronson sprawls well. He's pushed Roscrow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Roscrow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A lazy left from Bronson finds it's target. Roscrow takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That has opened up Perry Roscrow's cut even more. A shot to the liver by Bronson. Beautiful body shot. Bronson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bronson is looking to wear down Roscrow with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Roscrow takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Bronson lands a head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Bronson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bronson. Good leg kick by Bronson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bronson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Bronson waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Roscrow. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Roscrow to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Roscrow is rocked!
The cut above Perry Roscrow's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bronson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Roscrow covers up, he's hurt! Bronson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bronson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bronson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
