The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hassan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hassan tries to clinch there but Polyakov circles away.
Hassan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Polyakov circles away.
Hassan is looking to clinch.
Ali Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hassan misses with a series of wild punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hassan tries to clinch up but Polyakov circles away and keeps his distance.

Horrible takedown by Hassan or perhaps it was just good defense by Polyakov which made him look bad.
Hassan shoots in and drives through. Polyakov sprawls well.
Hassan tries for a takedown but Polyakov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Polyakov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hassan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Polyakov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hassan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hassan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Polyakov on the ground.
Hassan is breathing heavily.
Polyakov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hassan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Polyakov's guard! Nice work there by Hassan!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Polyakov wants to sweep but no luck.
Polyakov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Polyakov is controlling Hassan's posture.

Polyakov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hassan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Polyakov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hassan's back instead.
Polyakov is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Polyakov lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Polyakov is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Polyakov gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Polyakov gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Polyakov apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Hassan tries to clinch but Polyakov is having none of it.
Hassan throws a head kick but Polyakov moves out of range.
Hassan has his takedown stuffed
and Polyakov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Polyakov.
Polyakov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hassan regains guard.

Hassan is in trouble now - Polyakov has advanced to mount!
Polyakov wants to finish this one by submission but Hassan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Polyakov.
Hassan is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Polyakov has taken his back.

Hassan defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Polyakov's arms.

Polyakov working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Hassan is doing well to defend. Polyakov seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Hassan is forced to tap and this one is over!
