Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Murder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Murder is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Murder! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones clinches. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick. Jones lands a two punch combo.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Murder pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Murder wants to get back to full guard. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Murder is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Murder keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones has hold of Murder's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Murder manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Murder tries to hold on but Jones postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murder is looking to get to half guard. Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Murder is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jones lands a big elbow. Murder takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Murder is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murder gets back to half guard. Murder has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jones thows a huge punch but Murder dodges it nicely.
Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Murder looks gassed! Jones shoots in for a takedown but Murder shows good takedown defense. Murder throws a head kick that misses. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Murder. Murder fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones throws a right and a left that Murder avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Murder has his takedown stuffed and Jones moves into the clinch. Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones. Jones blocks a head kick by Murder.
Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Murder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Jones pulls Murder in to control the position. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murder's guard. Jones looking to pass the guard. Murder controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murder looking for a sweep. Not yet Murder, not yet. Murder working for submissions but it's allowed Jones to get to half guard.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Murder is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Jones slips a nice elbow through Murder's hands, connecting with Murder's forehead. Jones trying to control the action but Murder is working from the bottom. Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is pressing down on Murder's thigh, looking to free his foot. Murder is holding on for now. Murder taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murder swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones swinging wilding here.
Jones fails with the takedown and Murder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Murder. Jones has a closed guard, preventing Murder from standing up. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Murder makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Murder. Jones is working Murder over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones wants to control from the top but Murder keeps moving. Murder working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murder trying to control the position.
Jones is posturing up here but Murder has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jones tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jones has to tap! Slick submission there by Murder!
