The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gump displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Goodnight Irene has been cut.
Gump throws a shot from downtown. Irene moves away and avoids it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Irene.
Irene takes the fight into the clinch.
Irene lands a nice knee to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gump wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Irene takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Gump is trying to push Irene away but Irene has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Irene lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Irene gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Forest Gump has been cut.
Gump tries to circle away but Irene has him pinned against the cage.
Gump wants to break free but Irene has control.
Irene lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Gump tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Irene lands a knee to the body.
Irene unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gump lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Gump looks winded!
Irene lands a nice elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Irene content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Irene lands an elbow inside.
Gump is trying to push Irene away but Irene has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Irene.
That has opened up Forest Gump's cut even more.
Irene lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Irene lands a nice elbow.
Gump is rocked!
The cut above Forest Gump's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Irene creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gump with a big uppercut! Gump tries to clinch up but Irene pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gump to the mat! Gump covers up and Irene unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Goodnight Irene!
Goodnight Irene gave a mention to Brute in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
